Six Gold End Badge

GNAS award a six gold end badge if you put all six arrows into the gold at one end during an archery round at the required distance. For junior archers the distance depends on your age varying from 30 yards/30 metres to 80 yards/70 metres. If you do shoot a six gold end during a round then let a senior archer know so they can check whether it qualifies or not and if so get the application in.You can only be awarded one six gold end badge.

Classification Medals

GNAS run a classification scheme based on scores for a round. The classifications are Junior Master Bowman, Junior Bowman, 1st Class, 2nd Class and 3rd Class. To obtain a class you need to make three qualifying scores for that class during a year. GNAS award a medal for Junior Master Bowman. Medals for other classification qualifications are made by the club and awarded at the Spring Handicap, Club champs and Charles Wilson handicap shoots. You can see how many qualifying scores for a class you have made in the Members Area of the website under 'This Year Outdoor Handicaps/Classification'. You can only qualify for each class medal once and cannot get lower class medals after getting a higher class medal.

JAWS Scheme

GNAS run a junior award scheme where awards are based on points achieved by competing in tournaments etc. For details of the scheme see Jaws Scheme

Junior Arrow Awards

Arrow awards are made by GNAS to junior archers. You need 4 qualifying scores from a selection of possible rounds. The standard to get one of these awards is high, around Junior Bowman level. The club records officer will keep track of archers' qualification scores for these awards.

Fita Beginners Award Scheme

GNAS operate the Fita Beginners award scheme whereby Badges (called "feathers") are awarded to beginners based on their basic archery knowledge and how they conduct themselves on the archery field. See Feathers Scheme for details.
